They generally have that set up for £99.99 all the time, but with another £40 its definetly worth it.

The tools are fairly good but the boxes are made of paper and the hinges and clasps off egg shells!! Ok for occasional use or leaving in one place.... They will replace them but its a ball ache! I ran my bahco set over in a truck and it was fine! snap off have some good deals on blue point range and you can pay on the never never too!

For once I'm not going to knock Halfords.
Had one of their socket sets for over 6 years now. and I'm like a cow with a gun
when I use tools. Even I haven't managed to break any of the set.
Destroyed loads of bits on the car mind.
For the money they are spot on.

I've got the Halfords 150pc set and can't fault it. I've had it since 2003ish and its done numerous engine swaps and endless maintenance. It's survived everything I've thrown at it. I've had two of the torx bits break plus a couple screwdriver bits, but they've been replaced without fuss.
It's even survived being flooded in the boot of my mates car - after a good drying and oiling session its fine, other than one of the ratchets sticks a little, but when it plays up it gets oiled and is fine.

Ive got a halfords set, one of the large trays from the professional range. I bought it with a similar deal expecting the ratchets to last about 5 mins. However after repeated abuse, its all going strong. Bargain.

They seem generally ok. However, my set's screw driver connector broke after a day and one of the allen key socket extensions snapped taking a chunk of my finger with it :( Probably because I'm ham fisted but still.
