proper colour of leather

could anyone tell me the correct colour of my dark blue leather in my cab as i want to do a colour spray of them and want to get the correct colour and are sure someone on here could tell me as i are new to e30 and only just brought mine thanks all help will be greatly recieved

The dark blue is called indigo. The problem is that it will have faded, so doing local repairs will be tricky. You will probably end up having to recolour the lot.

I steered clear of recolouring mine or going for a retrim. 2 reasons

1. as above, it's a difficult colour to get right.
2. a retrim nearly always look exactly like that, A retrim!

So I sourced several Indigo seats and interiors and have built up my seats and doorcards using original sections. That way it's retained a bit of Patina and is the correct colour. It wasnt cheap though.

thanks for that going to go for full re colour i think in indigo door cards as well should lift interior i think
