i hate 3 spoke alloys, any size, any colour, any dish, they are just pure 80's naff.

M40 rightness if you can get to 6000rpm noone can hear your tappets
Ditto, those are just plain bad!dirtee-herbert wrote:wow. i just threw up a little bit.Rich320I wrote:not a fan of anything 17inch, but id say the worst wheels on an e30 reside on this beast:

Always think 17's look a bit too big myself too, something about the e30 looks way too monster-truck like once on anything above a 16.
Ok. Ok. I'm sorry, I'm running seventeen alpina reps. I bought it like that ok! I'm spending enough on the car as it is without having to worry about whether my wheels ain't fashionable. They look alright, if a bit battered and bruised, and fit into the wheel wells well. (Say that repeatadly).
One thing I should say about them if anyone is planning on putting 17inch wheels on is, DON'T! Well, you can if all you desire from your car is bone jolting ride, pot hole avoiding on an epic scale and snap oversteer which can be a bugger to catch sometimes. If none of those things appeal then stick to what god deems to be the correct wheel size of 16 inches.
Any suggestions for a low slung black convertable? I am looking for replacements. I just have no idea about wheels.

I think 17s aren't quite right on most e30s.
I think people give BBS RS reps far too much stick. Having owned a set of BBS RM's I know how much they cost, how much of a nightmare they are to keep clean and how terribly depressing re-polishing them can be.
A lot of reps are bloody good these days and you don't have to mess about re-polishing them. Yes they may not be as well built as BBS and they may have issues down the line with lacquer, but they're so cheap they're almost disposable.
Borbet A's can look good on e30's but they don't suit every e30.

With the right valve caps on those teddy wheels could be highly suggestive...

Not really haters, bruvlines are just shit and everyone knows it.
I have a soft spot for Ronal Teddy's. A friends missus has them on her Lupo and for a girls car I think they are awesome! Wouldn't put them on mine mind

Core blimey I do dislike a fair few wheels such as the bottle tops and alpina reps and a few others I cant remember the names of ”¦
Just having a read up on the first and second page of this thread I am shocked that people will still drive around with such classics and take the originality away from it and or try to show of what really is just another regular e30 pretending to be a Alpina... I thought putting stickers right across one end to the other end of your car was so 90's even then for me it looks silly and to now it still looks prity much pointless...
I am all for individual modifications which improve handling, safety and overall drive ability but not for a second do I support putting stickers on one end to the other I really thought this was what children do such as them young chavs driving little cars all out of their parents money... silly and childish for sure or maybe im just getting old ”¦ .
Like one of you guys mentioned having a normal 3 series with a M3 badge on it ”¦ = pointless, silly and stupid trying to be something you are not is for sure what it is...
Rav I presume you have a regular normal e30 cab with a m30 engine possibly out of a 5 series e28 with alpina stickers on it ”¦ My advice to you mate if this is what tickles our dangles a thumbs up to you fella.....
Although if I had your car id take them stickers off for one and then them wheels and keep the engine with some 15”a bbs xspoke wheels on it and enjoy the Sunday blasts on a nice stretch of road...
how much did that engine conversion cost you?
OH I also dislike any BBS Reps

Defo Bk's, the e36 motorsport reps, anything 3 spoke, tsw venoms although i've never seen them on an e30 before are hateful wheels.
what's wrong with bbs reps aslong as they don't have the bbs badge, they look fine don't they?
I have 18inch BBS style 5's on my m3, they actually came on the car, I personally think they are too big but they 16's need a refurb so they will stay for now, I guess most people will hate on these for being too big.

18's are way too big, there's no way that they don't rub on the inner arches at times,dusty23 wrote:Defo Bk's, the e36 motorsport reps, anything 3 spoke, tsw venoms although i've never seen them on an e30 before are hateful wheels.

I preferred it on 16" BBS

Looks great on 18s, but not sure how well it would drive. 17s are a decent compromise on m3s, look good without totally ruining the drive, although admittedly they do feel a lot better on 16s.
cheers,
