Afternoon all
I've read the Wiki but just wanted to get some user feedback from members who have upgraded their steering racks. My 320i has a manual rack and although I can live with the heavy steering it's the lock to lock I hate. I have an opportunity to get a Z3 rack. Anyone done a conversion here and if so how are you finding it?
Cheers

It will mean you'll have to get a M20 Power steering pump , pulleys and belt.
Also would highly recommend DanThe's kit for fitting it (£100 for the E34 joints and pipes) as it makes it a lot easier.
I spent nearly £90 on a hose on my first conversion from Pertek so well worth going to DanTher!
As for use, it transforms the car, turning it from a barge like response to something that's very direct like a kart and really makes the car into a B road specialist, massive grins all round.
Coupled with the Z3 gear shift conversion, it makes a E30 much more alive and far more fun to drive. Also makes it safer if you have a bit of a slide going as you're not having to flail at the steering wheel to catch it.

You've asked this question in two threads, so I'm locking down this one.
