Evo Sport Ԛ—a 274 kW (365 bhp)@8,750 rpm.

Transmission: 1987 5-speed.

Well, that's the unswer i'm lookig for .
All i know that this car was made somewhere in 1991 1992
for grupp A racing ,but what parts weree instoleed and by what team ,or garage ,i don't know , i'm just wonderind ,
if to change exaust it may give extra 20 bhp
ecu 35 bhp
induction 15
on the top of 238 from the factory but it on the flywheel ,it means that on the wheels it would be less ,.
so if someone hase some time to spare on stupid man like me please do so

If so, you are looking at a R&D budget of about Ԛ£1m

back in 1992 they didn't have all these gadgiets .so the team probably could spend around ??? for one race day on parts ?
but this car now still have the same engene that 15 years ago and to modify it ,we are talkin' around 3000 4000 Ԛ£ ore more?

You dont need smart devices if you ave loads and loads of money!

Look at the new M5 engine, it has loads of power with no smart devices because bmw have lots of money to spend on development!

last april very good friend of mine got hold of 1990 evo 2.3 L
we have found it in Germany paid 9,000euros a that moment it was around 7 000 Ԛ£ so i took it for a ride and i realy like it the car has 180.000 kmtrs and recepits that 35 k ago uberholt was made overall engene rebuilt , that's why i ask about this car ,how to get extra 100 bhp without f**n up engene ,

Look at the new M5 engine, it has loads of power with no smart devices because bmw have lots of money to spend on development!

an ecu that a few years ago could have powered the space shuttle
a crank design never before seen in a production V engine
some very clever metallurgy allowing a prodction v10 to rev to 8250rpm
plus other stuff too i suspect.

i think evo referred to it as the most advanced road car engine ever made.


steves right to a degree tho.
with something like an older m3 s14 u need to throw money at it.
this buys some very trick bits and allows massive power.
but i doubt itd be too reliable.

problem is with the cams i said about you probably wouldnt be able to use it on the road as its power band would be all high up with fcuk all below it.

so after spendin' 3 grand all we gonna get is 60 bhp but it shoul be safe
enough ,how fast the car will be from 0 to 60 with 60 bhp more 215 +60 = 270 on the flywheel ,?
if after that it will meet 5.sec
i'm happy cozz
i went to the BMW Sorensons in King's lynn
and they gave me the price on the new engene 6000Ԛ£
so i rather wait for 3 months and go to Germany.

IMO you would get around 265 with that little lot, add a 2.5 conversion and you may get 290 - maybe??

But surely that kind of power will be at some really narrow band right at the top of the rev range with a spike of torque hiding elswhere????

Therefore driveability will suffer big style and popping down the shops will be a thing of the past???!!!!!

FROM 215BHP I SHOULD NOT GO MORE THAN 65 BHP THAN.
if i still want it to be drivible?

Yes your right, id go maximum 270 for an m3 really. That would be a good combo of reliability, price and performance.

I think it could be achieved for around 4k, or maybe im well off!
