ANOTHER HOW MUCH QUESTIONS.

Hi guys,

I want to sell my blue cab and i was just wondering how much you all think it's a fair price. It's a J plate 325 and I've owned it for a few years now, but it's hardly been driven as it spent 3 years in the garage getting modded. I was also doing the Rieger at the same time, so this one didn't get a look in. Saying that it still owes me around Ԛ£15k. I gave the car to a friend of mine straight after it came back from the body shop cause his lady loved it and he kept hassling me to sell it to him. As a friend, i said he could take the car and pay me monthly, but even though he's had the car all summer, i havent seen a penny from him, so i've no taken the car back. It needs work doing to bring it back up cause my friend has fcuked it up. He must have hit something and smashed the front bumper. There is also a large crack in both side skirts and the car has been keyed. The car is currently back at the bodyshop as i was going to get it fixed and use it myself, but i've just lost my lady after 2 years due to the fact that i'm in Milan and she was lonely. Add the fact that i have the Rieger and my Polo too, it seems a waste to chuck more money at this car, cause i know it will sit in the drive for weeks on end again cause im still away. I was thinking of putting it up for Ԛ£4k with the work to be done on it. The bodyshop has quoted around Ԛ£1000 to Ԛ£1500 to fix the damage and sort the scrathes out. It's the same place that done the Rieger, so you know it will be done properly and it also needs a new roof at Ԛ£500 so Ԛ£2k ontop of my asking price making it Ԛ£6k, the buyer will have the only E30 in the Country like this as all the bodywork was custom made. It's also got 17x9 Keskins with gold bolts and spax suspension. The colour is a very slight flip from blue to green to purple and cost me Ԛ£3k for the respray (The car has been sparyed twice at Ԛ£3k each time) Do you guys think Ԛ£4k is too much to ask?

I was going to stick in the For Sale section, then on ebay if it didn't sell here. Be honest with me please guys.

Hey Ben, that sounds a fair price to me mate - after all the work that's gone into making her what she is i'd say 4k is below value but, as every one well knows by now - you never get your money back!!!

I'd stick it back in your garage for a few more months and bring her out at the beginning of summer, say around late April - you should get your money then what with the warmer weather (this is teaching you to suck eggs!!!!!)

Any way, best of luck with the sell mate - what's on the drawing board once she's gone??

Hi Neil.

I'm through with cars after this mate. I've wasted Ԛ£thousands over the years and got nothing back for it. I'm also beating myself at the moment cause if it wasn't for my silly spending on cars, i wouldn't be in Italy and i'd still be with the missus so i'm defo out of the game dude. Polo and the Rieger all the way for me. I might buy a E36 M3 cab sometime in the future if i have the funds, but for now, it's clear all my debts so at least it would have been worth coming out here and losing the missus

I would say 4k was a realistic price for a car like that, but like nelly says, id wait until the weather gets better. If you still have no luck, get the body work done then sell it it 5500 no offers.

It's easy saying dont worry buddy, but after 2 years living together, it's kind of hard. Worst still i found out that one of my so called mates is now with her. Long story but she was always doubtful of my commitment to her, then i had an argument with her best mate and told her about herself, and it was all downhill after that cause instead of giving my girl good advice, she took every opportunity to confirm her fears about my feelings for her. Mainly the fact that i've left her alone at home and only coming home twice a month for a couple of days at a time. Eventually this so called mate of mine started hanging round with them and over time they got close and the rest as they say is history, so dont trust anyone. Especially so called friends.

I'm making the effort to come home every weekend now cause i dont really fancy sitting in my apartment all weekend thinking what the 2 of them are upto in the bed i shared with her. Only problem with Ace is that, it's on a Monday and i'm in Italy by then. Saying that my contract finishes here at the end of July, so i may be back although i'm trying to get them to send me to Russia after i'm done here. I have to admit i was spending money like water since i've been here, but this break-up has given the determination to make sure that i pay all my debts before i'm done here. At least that way if nothing at all, it would have been worth loosing the missus over.

As far as the car goes, you're all right. This is no time to sell a cab, so might just keep hold of it for now. Mite even take Ԛ£3.5k for her cause i just cant be bothered anymore

sorry to hear about both your dilemas mate, looking at the car i would say it was easily worth 4k, try checking out some japanese ebay type sites those lot are mad for modded cars!!

shame to see a cab go though, at least you have your red/orangie cabby to cheer your up, but dont suppose that is a replacement for a lost Julie , especially when a friend involved, heres a thought, use the blue cab to run the cnut over, the front is already damaged and if its fully comp thats two birds with one stone

Dont think i havent thought of that already mate, but that would push her even further away. To be honest, this is probably for the best as i would have had to come home and most defo wont be able to go to Russia. When you're talking over 6 figure sum a year, that's a lot to give up for your missus, but i would have. God what a mug i must sound like

I am gutted cause i know what i use to get up to with her and the thought of them doing the same thing in my bed whilst i'm stuck in a strange Country makes me want to be sick to be honest. I have lots of time here to torment myself too.

as for the car i think its worth over 4k, but put it up in summer for just over 4k for a quick sale. and i thought you wanted to do a conversion on the reiger?

Ben, i'd get the car sorted now, then keep it somewhere for the start of summer where your bound to get a much better price for it!

As for the missis, that is just a kick in the nuts mate, you know yourself that these women need attention or else!

What about after you finish up in Italy and come home, will there be any chance for you then with her, make her realise how much you regret not being there for her or something?

bloody hell ben if thats what your after I might take it off your hands mate!!!! Thats a nice cab and I like the work done on it. i can imagine being the ultimate pimp daddy with 2 pimped out cabriolets outside my house! I think yours is worth more than the asking price I reckon I mean if i ever sell mine I'd want Ԛ£4 ideally, with what you done on it I'd say 5k is a more reasonable figure to get, wait till the summer like everyone said, best time IMO.

Ben you sound like you have your head screwed on right from your posts and meeting you at a Croydon meet. Getting your self sorted and on top of your game sounds like a good plan.

Agreed about the stretch, but being the type of person i am, the Red mist would settle in very quickly if i clapped eyes on the fella and would probably end up giving statments again and having "hard to remove" ink all over me hands!

Thanks for the support guys. My 1st reaction was to kill him, but that will only bring them closer. I wrote some long letter to her yesterday explaining that i know most of this was my fault knowing how insecure she was about how i felt about her, but being a typical bloke, i kept saying "Ho, she knows i love her" rather than showing her and said i hoped one day if it's meant to be, we'd be together again. I also had to swallow my pride and apologise to her mate even though she's a bitch, but girls are not like us lads. They confide in their best mates and normarly do as they suggest, so i though i had to do it at least so she stops painting me as some kind of monster

I know time is a great healer, but when you're in this situation everyday is a strugle. If i was home, i'd go back on the door and would be able to replace her or at least be amongst friends and family, but like i said, i'm in a strange Country, with no mates and i only go to work or stay in my apartment. Still the flip side of that is if i stick this out, i'd be able to come home with apart from the mortgage all my debts and everything i own paid for. I could also move into my penthouse on the Thames that i havent been able to afford to live in. Ho well, underneath it all, i guess there are millions of people in the World with much worser problems than mine. Thanks again for the support guys. Very much appreciated.

As for the Rieger, i just have no interest in chucking anymore money at it. The blue cab, i've just lost interest in. I guess this has thought me a lesson that there is more to life than your cars and if i'd spent the time when i came home with my lady instead of always running around getting something done on the cars, she wouldn't have found comfort with another man

dont get stressed dude. The blue cab you should keep hold of and look at selling it in a couple of months ready for summer.

regarding the mrs it sounds harsh but there are plenty of fish in the sea. Clear your debts lifts a weight off your shoulders then sit back and look at what you have done be proud and forget about all the stupid insignificant things that have gone wrong. You've still got plenty of life left in you live it to the full dont let her get you down.

take it easy and dont do anything rash.. like sell that lovely blue cab at a silly low price!!!

Thanks again for all the support guys. I've taken everything said on board and it's all starting to make sence to me now and yes you are all right. Better to clear your debts, than come sit at home and worry everyday about being in debt, cause eventually the pressure of being in debt will split you up anyway. Besides, i'm not a bible basher, but i believe in Faith i guess what's meant to be.

if you end up definitely selling the cab (i can't tell if you're sure right now!) can you let me know before you do anything? i won't ask you to wait for me or anything, but would be good to know. i wasn't planning on anything good but something like this won't come up again! i'm only 50/50 still, but so tempting...cheers ben!!
