Hey guys it's been a while.!
Anyway my current financial situation is getting the better of me the now and im trying to get some money.
The e30 has been sitting in a garage for ages now with a broken engine. It's not fireing on the 5th cylinder since a small trip to knockhill. Been meaning to try get to the bottom of the cause but just lots most of my spirit the now as i was saving to fix her all up but now i dont have a penny in savings.
I just dont know what to do.!!!! I know the cars not really costing me money but the lock up it is in is and i cant keep it anywhere else long term. I know i'll get basically nothing for it but i've been told its getting more rare by the day (as most e30's are tbh). Its a 325i sport tech 1 and i do love it and it drives amazingly when its going.! Just lost all my motovation and to me it seams like it'll never be rebuilt.!!
I'm having a look about but incase i miss some post anyone tell me selling prices of a sorn, no tax, not running right and a little bit rough tech 1?

Thanks. Thats way more than what i was thinking. Cars as said not firing on all cylinders. Bonnet has small upwards dents. underside i have been told is great for the age of the car. Rear arched have been filled next to where the side bump strips are and are in need of replacement. Surface rust next to rear number plate and the tech 1 skirts and bumper could do with a painting. Front seats need small repars. Black head lining, obc, realativly new sports shock absorbers. not sure what else.
Main reason i want to keep it is that i'm trying to get a job offshore and if i do i'll be able to fix the car up in a year or two but the chances of getting out are slim. Even with having a good few contacts.

If it's money you want, sell the headlining, sport mirror, LSD, gearbox, interior, glass, shadowline trim, tech I kit and then sell what's left as a rolling shell. That lot should raise you about a grand in my experience. Then sell the rolling shell with the suspension, brakes and broken engine for someone to rebuild.
You could probably raise up to £1500 all in and the Sport will live on in someone else's hands. You'll also have everything out of the car so any prospective buyers for the shell can really see in about it.

Anything. Only problem is i've been a bricklayer for the last 9 years. So any position will have to be a entry level/ trainee position. only other qualifications i have are the medical, bosiet, mist and rope access level 1 with 72 hours in book. If it were me I'd think a bit more of ways (within reason) to hold onto it. Sounds like you love it and that in a years time when you could be in a better financial position you'll regret getting rid of it. I'm not too fused about tech 1's personally, but they are getting thin on the ground and cost a fair buck to buy in any condition. With the stress of looking for a job and financial worries; things like getting cars fixed seem more so un-acheivable.
I have a rotting IS sitting in a borrowed (and overdue) garage lockup, its only an IS but I wanted to restore it non the less. Due to the nature of my job, my finances are up and down all the time, plus I have to put some money into the flat and I'm constantly tempted to break the IS and forget about it. But each time I just try to work out a cheaper way to get the project done.
Your cost currently is where you store it, if you can work out a way to store it cheaper, that'll give you some time to sort other bits out in your life and re-access your situation in 6-12 months time.
Given that, I don't know your full situation, its only a car after all and the selling options above from everyone are sound advise. But just thought I put that in there for a bit of thinking.

Cheers g-bear. i'll defo be taking everyones opinions into consideration. going to have a chat with some people i know about ti to before i make any harsh decitions.
