Trouble is,concours judges are to be issued with measuring cards,and if your ariel is more than 1mm out of the position that Mr Moooooooooooore dictates,you will lose 1000 points.

So this is a very serious affair,we must not mock the afflicted... :D

You think this is a long thread over a trivial point? The BMW instructions (for fitting the aerial only, not the rest of the sound system), are 15 pages long!

You have to remember also that if the hole is even 1mm out, the angle of the ariel won't be correct, it may 'lean back' another degree thus rendering the car scrap :(
