help please, i have an e30 convertible and a leak letting water into the boot ( left side ) is this a common fault?
i also have a small leak on one of the hood seals. are these easy to get? its the seal above the front passenger window

Check the gaskets around the tail lights. Usual culprit.

Strangely enough, from BMW! There are plenty more places that water can leak in though, so take the trim out of the boot and sprinkle talcum powder around before driving the car in the rain. The water will leave streaks in the powder, pinpointing the leak

Do you park your car nose down, or your drive way have a slight slant to it? If so the boot shut area under the rear window pools with water and if your boot seals are failing it lets water right in.

thanks il investigate further
it isnt the rear light gaskets they dry as a bone
i have stripped the carpet out and dried everything off so next bit of rain il go have a look
