As a biker this is a +1. In our area we have had rain but not for long enough to wash the crappola off the roads and its hairy out there.

I have been having this same problem with my e46 320, tires are all good and road seems perfectly dry. Sometimes when i will go round a corner not even at great speed and hit a small bump in the road my backend will start to pop out. It never used to do this so i don't really know whats going on!

Tyres could easily be the culprit. You might have just got to a point in the wear cycle where they loose alot of grip. They are also the cheapest part to swap out before you go hunting for other problems.

Or it was just a freak bit of road. They are rear wheel drive and the road can do funny things even on low throttle.

Every time I change my rears I get a different car back. Some tyres feel rock solid but you soon realise arn't, and others make the car feel it's on ice, but will stick and stick and stick . . . . . . untill it don't stick no more.

I ain't telling you to suck eggs, but check your tread across the WHOLE tyre. If your lowered then your rear camber will toe out meaning the inner edge takes all the abuse. Mine look healthy untill you check the inner inch and notice the steel . . . . . . I did wonder why it was acting a bit funny.
