It's a really tricky place to find, when you find the road they are on,you then have to look for a small alleyway inbetween houses,it is really difficult to spot at first.(I still miss the turning, and iv been going there for a couple of years!)
I wouldn't take my e30 anywhere else, they are spot on.

I'd be very interested in any details of this place. Sounds like E30 heaven?

Anyone been to the E30 center lately? I had my cab with them in 2007 and was going to make a trip back to have the roof looked at again. Are they still the experts for leccy roofs?DanThe wrote:Jason is no longer there, Bill wont be for much longer either so if you cabby types want your hoods setting up properly you better get your skates on

I think the place may have closed. I would also be interested to know if it's still going..

I do know of an e30 roof expert in london who works at a main dealer, but would never do private work on peoples cars only booked through the dealer, he is brilliant and realy knows his stuff. I doubt he would appreciate me advertising this but if your location is near london it may be worth phoning london bmw dealers and asking if they have a technician that was around when e30,s were still in production and is familiar with the roof mechanisms. You will probrably find him, only thing is though london dealer prices!

Ajay, London's a big place, surely you can give a more accurate location than that? It's not that anyone will try to get him to work outside BMW's dealership.
Come on name the dealer

Can I suggest cayman autos in dorking, they fixed my motors and realigned everything and now it works perfectly, only picked it up this morning.
Adam, stayed late last night to get my roof working perfectly, can't fault them really.

Cool. What was the problem with your roof Brett? Apart from the bits you've psoted up, of course. Nice to have it working I bet? Was it expensive?

The gears inside were a bit chewed up, luckily a had a spare damaged motor that they took the gears from then packed it out with grease and rebuilt the motor, also had that missing fixing bolt/pin, and the rods needing adjusting and just a general set up, horseshoe was also adjusted as it was catching the back of the roof, and the passenger windows needed adjusting to sit inside the seal.
£240 cash all in, not bad considering the bolt was £115 from BMW!

That's very good. Shame it's all the way in Dorking. Bit of a trek for me in North Wales.
