Hi All,

I'm looking for a grey carpet for my E30 325i Sport, just spoken to a guy who says he has one in good condition. He also said the carpet in a sport is different to a normal E30 (is this true?) and he wants £160 for it. Opinions please.

The Convertible carpet is unique to a Convertible, A normal 2 Door one will fit though.

if weight is a factor, the 4 pot carpet is about 1/4 the weight of a 6. Luxury comes at a compromise, I vote 4pot carpet

£160 for a carpet,
I dont think the "uber rare" black carpets sell for that,

did the seller say it was super rare, unique 1 of a kind, super awesome??

Oops! seems I was a bit slow there!

No he didn't say it was super rare, he said it was a specific carpet for the sport, all sport carpets are grey and if i didn't want it he'd put it online for £200!

I thought £160 was a but steep!

he can put it on the moon and it still won't be worth £200.

No idea, but less than £100 & more than £50

I've seen Tech2 Sports with Beige Carpets, as well as Black, Anthracite & Grey/Silver. Is yours Tech1 or Tech2?

Yeah great selling tactic, but I wasn't going to take that hook! When he told me the price I said I'd call him back and let him know if I wanted!

£70-£90 for a great condition one
£30-£70 for good condition
£0-£30 for crap is what I'd price them up at.

Any more and the seller is taking the pish

Your not wrong there!

It's funny, I spoke to the bloke again yesterday. Told him that price was too rich for my blood. Lo and behold, after 5mins on the phone the price suddenly dropped to £110 (and he says the carpets immaculate!).

There is a brand new one on a site linked somewhere for 100 notes in beige. I have a very tidy one from a touring too, completely uncut, even around the steering column.

Not liking the beige idea! What colour is the one you have and what condition is it in?

Light grey in good condition. Need to check to confirm as it might have a mark on the passenger side under where the matts sit but its completely uncut.

I also have a 4 pot one (Different quality material) in a dark green which is very good condition too but I doubt your after green

A genuinely mint 6 pot carpet that has not been removed by an ape is worth £100+ all day long!! An average one is worth £50-75.

From a trader who will hold onto it until it sell at that price then yes it's worth that. I'd charge the same for minty one but if your willing to hold out then you can get one privately for a lot less. Which is whaty rough price guide is aimed at.
