I dont see many forums or feedback in the forums about people who are happy with work
done or unhappy with work done to their E30 M3(mechancical and bodywork)?

Anybody out their have feedback on work they have gotten done to their car, where they got the work
done and happy with service, price etc..?

I think people who do good work deserve to get some credit and recognition.
I also think the chancers deserve to be named also to warn other forum members
of what they might be getting themselves in for when choosing where they bring their M3.

Whats your location? It will help people recommend where to get work done. Or are you just looking for a general list regardless of where you are.

Well don't go anywhere near Thorney Motorsport. Wasted a year of my time and lots of my money. Car is still only a rolling shell. I'll be looking for an engine builder myself in winter hopefully, I have a bodywork place sorted local to me. He's got a couple of e30's and I've seen what he's done with ur quattros, and they are as bad for rusting as e30s and they don't make parts for them any more. PM if you would like details as I don't want to appear to be advertising.

Text speak is changing U-R to * I tried to use text speak but the text speak filter stopped me *

If I had an M3, I'd be passing it to E30Topless or Pacerpete for the mechanicals and I believe Beardymatt is the man for bodywork, if you can get him.

No location in particular, from the Uk or anywhere in europe really. Is work cheaper to get done in Germany and of a higher standard does anybody know?

Im talking about e30 m3 specialists, so people with knowledge on these.....cheers

I've found that parts are expensive out in Germany (I have a car over there) and quality can be as much of a hit or a miss as the UK, then you also have the language barrier. If you want top quality in Germany though, go to Tom Schirmer in Kelberg, just along from the NÃaburgring. Take money though, lots of money.

+1 again for Pacer. Top, top bloke and a font of (useful) knowledge.

So far as Germany is concerned, as somebody has already said, it's hit and miss. I was lucky when I lived in Germany for 6 years that the local BMW dealer's head mechanic had been there for years (he worked on E12s and E21s when they were new), so knew his way around an E30 and was very, very capable but very honest with it. Really nice too as it happened.

You want to find, if possible, somebody who has worked on these cars for years and years, preferably main dealer trained when they were new.
