Hi guys.
I have bought an E30 which in the boot has a brand new spare wheel and a BMW jerry can , it fits in the dish perfectly,

Does anyone know what these are worth? Can't find any on eBay, it's 9litre and brand new - never used!

Will post pics later - looks ace!

Thanks

Can't remember whether 9l is the larger one or not. I sold one years ago on ebay which was tatty for £150.

IF you want to sell it stick it on ebay starting at 99p with international shipping, should be a good little earner.

6L is the smaller one

your best of keeping hold of it ,look nice in the wheel and if brand new be rare in the future

got 6L one myself, which i think is the older type, a nice addition to any boot

Sandblasted and powder coated OEM satin black. To be fair that does remove the felt bit that is designed to sit against the rim as a noise suppressor.

The neck just needs blasting but with something much finer, should think soda would have it looking like new. I'd be tempted to get it plated as well but i'm not sure how well that would work on the flexi bit and i doubt it can be seperated.

Im afraid that neck might be wrong, Polsta. It looks like a standard jerry can neck. The correct one is much shorter and fits within the shape of the can. Look st the one in.my advert linked above as a comparison.

That's a cracker Adi. 9l one. Very rare. I've only ever had the 6l.

It does fit the can shape but i see that shorter one,but adit one there is also the same as mine, and with both the bracket and details are same ? Maybe it was redesigned shorter for the 9l ? seen a few on ebay in last 6 months but all the 9l and 9l can be found new still and was e36 etc too and thought the 6l was the more rarer one ?

What about bead blasted ? Finer n smoother than sand, i gota get a few other bits done and powder coated so il show and ask him ,might get the can done aswell

Not sure what material bead is but Soda is about as fine as you can get and leaves a finish very close to the original, anything harsher and you're likely to lose that finish which on something like that flexi you don't want to do!
