Hi, so I'm thinking of an aftermarket exhaust on my e30 cab, not sure what to get though or what would look good. I'm looking at a twin exhaust. I was thinking rolled out lip?
Any photos of aftermarket exhaust on your E30 would really help to get some ideas
Thanks in advance

yeah ...i had the middle box packed with kevlar on the white one as it was ringing like kit off knight rider when i bought it. The result ??? A very very nice exhaust tone. Not too harsh at revs and a very satisfying burble on tic over.
i really dont know what exhaust is on my white e30 but it sounds nice now.
Theres a scorpion SS dtm style on the tech1 dolphin i bought. Although i really cant stand the dtm tail pipes, the sound is very nice and seems to let the car breathe and rev a bit free'er than the white tech2.
I think the sound of an exhaust is as important as the look.
Ive been told that scorpion exhausts are the best suited for E30 6 pots but i really dont know enough to verify this.
KEEPING MY "BLURRED PIXELS" TO THE MAX !!!

I know fook all about this sort of thing but the guy who makes custom systems is opening my back box and packing kevlar round the wall of the back box with a mesh steel/aluminium and that adds sound proofing to kill the council soundtrack
oh and welding it shut again

Especially in a tunnel or an old brick arched bridge.
Ferrariness about them IMO.(only in a tunnel)

Surely cheaper to get a new back box.

Mines off an E30 M3 so it has a seperate resonator just before the middle box.

Is the Scorpion with the Mesh in it kind of raspy? Backbox or full system?

Sorry for the lack of explanation, I hit submit too early. Truth is I have no idea what it is, came attached to the car with about 15 kilos of terrible weld. At a guess I'd say a generic stainless backbox but I quite like the look of it. It has since been made into a proper system by Tony Ryan exhausts in Leeds but the sound it makes was the whole reason I bought the car!
Apologies for not being able to help more with its identification

i love the sound of a mongoose system, much deeper than a scorpion le mans system which has a more raspy tone, saying that im still putting a scorpion on my 2.8 lool

My peko mid/backbox has just been cut off the car due to terminal rust/lack of silencing and is being replaced with a back half (of a two piece system) from our very own MeatBalls82 at ECP.
Pics to follow, when I get the car back again

Paul.. i wouldn't let anyone open up that back box... just get a larger centre silencer/muffler fitted as there is only one fitted to the system i had built & there should have been 2 silencers as well as the back box (that back box on it's own is over £130 worth of scorpion's finest ever stainless)

TBH yeah.. there is plenty of space for either another silencer or a larger one where the silencer sit's at the moment.
it was RMS who made the centre section & fitted the back box for me, i actually just found the receipt/life time warranty on Monday night!
