Was sitting my theory test this morning ( yes I still dont have a license, spent my funds on that white e30 ) and passed, but in the hazard perception part on the pc I noticed 3 e30s and an e28. A 325is, a black m3 and a grey tech 1 aswell as a 535i. I thought it was funny as u never seem to see any e30s on the road out and about, yet 10% of the clips shown contained old bavarian goodness.

Probably because all the clips are recycled from the 90's.

Congrats on passing. I've got some Falken ZE512 205/50X15 V rated on mine which are ok for the wet, still a bit poo though tbh. So are you ready to do your practical verde?

Thanks captain. I was ready to do my practical last year but couldnt cos I failed my theory by one mark and ran outta money,so I should sail through the practical part and be driving in a month or so. Well thats the hope anyway. Surprised the falkens aint so good in the wet I thought they would be well up there with toyo and yokohamas. It must just be no matter what u put on sn e30 the rain is gunna be scary

Not my driving I'm worried about, it's the other idiots on the road/kid who runs out after a ball etc etc that concerns me.

Don't say that here! If people think you are critisising the e30 you will start a hate thread! winkeye

The Falkens should be great but they aren't all they're cracked up to be. Hope you make short work of da test, best feeling in the world - passing and then driving an e30!

Have you seen the cost of a season ticket next year at the Boleyn fella?
I gave up going years.... well when I started playing with E30's

15" BBS's on correct size rubber and none of this stretched rubbish.

May I congratulate you on taking in so much when doing your hazard perception, when most bmw drivers think every other car on the road is a mirage.

Any car can be crashed very easily if driven badly rain or shine- it's the driver that is dangerous, not the car!

rust yes, tail out is for avoiding hazards, such as badly driven COUNCIL vans seemingly driven by illiterate, uneducated grunts on mobile phones. If only the dash cam was charged on these occasions

Haha na man cant have been the doctors... I got a certificate afterwards.
The insurance is cheaper than it would be to get a lupo or a polo surprisingly. And thanks for all the congrats. I may be a bit of a mincer day to day but when im behind the wheel I dont mess around and am very observant. Too many young guys killed going too quick or showing off round here and I refuse to be one of them

Their insurance would still pay out. They would just more than likely pursue the other party for costs.

Are you putting a b20 in a lesser engined car? You will find it's more expensive/impossible to insure compared to a 320i as it is now a modified car.

I got some quotes and it wasnt too ridiculous, wev had like 10 cars insured with the same company and up to 4 at a time so we got a pretty decent deal n all. Il need to phone up again this week and get a policy before i take the car out so il see, if its gunna be wild and their insurance will still pay...wel see
