complete turd, are they Fibregash bumpers?
Side shot would be useful, how do you 'convert' a 4 door to 2 door without major structural choppage? Or did they just filler the rear doors up?

it's sh*t.. the pics are rubbish, theres no actual decent detail and I HATE Ebayers who post up revisions moaning about low offers, the fact they'll keep it if no-one offers proper money or telling you how many watchers there are and how someone should have a bid..
it just puts me right off. .

IIRC if it is the same one I have seen in the past they have cut out the door frame/C pillar to make one long hurst like window. Structural rigidity yo!
Certainly wouldn't want to be in that if it ended up on it's roof
Now this is proper:

done properly there's no reason why a 2-door conversion has to be any less rigid than a factory two door.
unfortunately unless you see it being done, or do it yourself you don't know how the replacement parts have been made and welded.
sadly there are far too many bodywork bodgers about. a couple of spotwelds and a lump of filler wouldnt be an acceptable method!

Has anyone actually done a decent 2 door touring build?
Isn't that the same as every E30?Jhonno wrote:That is actually a shiney turd..ross_jsy wrote:IIRC if it is the same one I have seen in the past they have cut out the door frame/C pillar to make one long hurst like window. Structural rigidity yo!

Did not Sojeard (sp) find an original one a couple of years ago in Holland?

How rare are they..
They don't make bm's like this anymore!..They should.

Think it was only something daft like 5 made in RHD, or maybe even in total. I can't remember exactly.tonybtonyb wrote:How rare are they..

There was one on ebay a long time ago,was in a sorry state tbh,I heard Bmw made 5 prototypes but I could be wrong.

They weren't made by BMW. There was a really good article about the chaps that did the conversion somewhere.
