Mine's never worked in the 5 years I've had the car. Got power to screen when ye work the switch , screen jus dusnae graft.
Original dealer sticker in rear window is what always stops me from changing the screen to fix the fault.
Am I right in thinking that cabby's have rear screen blower de-misters though?? Can these be retro fitted to coupe's I wonder?

Usually easy enough to repair a few tracks, if most are working. There's a recent thread on the subject.

Works perfectly and permanently, IF you clean everything properly AND use the epoxy stuff.blackrs2000custom wrote:seen the thread and been down that road, its not very successful ,easier changing the window, problem lies in finding a good oneBrianmoooore wrote:Usually easy enough to repair a few tracks, if most are working. I had none working, changed the screen to find I have about half working, and unfortunately it's a clear screen so looks wrong cos the car has a green tint on all glass.
Don't think the repair will work as I have massive gaps in my original screens tracks, not just cracks.
Does anybody do a proper professional repair?
or have a green tint window with guaranteed working tracks?

mine doesnt, it's the ends of all tracks, they've just gone all fadey and pants.. if you stick a meter across the last inch or so on the passenger side you get +12v so that's where its knacked.. I did give that conductive paint a spin but it failed miserably..
I deal with electronics all day so TBH I cant usually be arsed to fiddle with it on the weekends.. I might just get a new rear screen in there..

Mine's spot on, better than in my daily.
Two headblenders, couple of bags of MC Hammer, 5 litres of FFF, a 48ft bastard, a box of jumped-up custard and some soggy chimps
