BMW BAURS How many are there?

I want to know how many Baur's were built and how many are still on the road in the uk. I own a 320i M20 1987 and haven't see many about I know they are considered the ugly version but its grown on me.

There is a member on here, from Belgium iirc. The name Bertie or similar springs to mind,
anyway he has an extensive knowledge of all things Baur.
Pretty sure if you do a search on Baurs , on here, his username will pop up.
Personally, i don,t consider them ugly at all.

Baur's are very much a 'Marmite' car!

After BMW released their own,very pretty cabriolet,you needed to be very determined to walk past that in the showroom and order the Baur.

That said,if I had come across a facelift Baur 2 years back,I would have been very interested!

Hi, had my Baur 15 years ,it gorgeous and doesnt shake like BM's cabby,so thought i would make it a 2.7 and fit Mini Schnitzers to it now it not only look awsome it goes like shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii-----------------

10867. 1811 of them went to the UK, which was the largest export-market for Baur's.

If you could tell me the Baur-number, I could find out something more.

I have a baur e30. In south africa it was the only option when it came to a convertible.
Our cars where not built by Baur though, they were imported as knock down kits and built at the BMW factory. So is my car considered a Baur??
My car is a 1990 325i Auto.

Baur made the frames and shipped these to SA. So I'd say yes; it is a Baur. It is even known how many frames were used for the SA-Baur: 3561.
