should be interesting, to get the 16x9's under the arches all the way round without taking the tyres apart I've decided to get the arches flared very slightly at the rear (as they are already partially rolled from the factory) and rolled at the front! the company come and do it at your house or place of work so i'll be interested to see the results (their website is very impressive!) no more buttock clenching over bumps or not being able to get 4 people in the car! (although I am going to raise the rear a little too.. )
pics will be posted this afternoon! (and then tomorrow it's off for a big operation in the bodyshop! bonnet, kit, drivers door, f/r bumper and bootlid as I'm having the spoiler off and the holes welded and smoothed!)

blimey, he's done it, at a cost of £130 (£30 more than normal because he had to come down from London but I've seen these guys work and it's worth the extra), there's a lot of room now under there! (air ride?
) interestingly he also flattened the double skinned section out slightly under the car inside the wheel arch to make more room as on E30's if you go low the tyres scrub there too! pics to follow!

Need pics
i done mine the otherday with my 9's on the back and 90mm drop you deffinatly need the arches rolled lool, done mine the "pikey" way with sockets on a extention bar and drove the car back and forward with the socket in there (2 man job) works well, and it didnt crack any paint
Any pics of 90mm drop on the rear? Are you on 16's also?
Need to see pics

well worth doing and no cracky paint etc like when I had a go at doing it myself a few years back..

90mm?! So you didn't want any suspension then?VW-will wrote:i done mine the otherday with my 9's on the back and 90mm drop you deffinatly need the arches rolled lool, done mine the "pikey" way with sockets on a extention bar and drove the car back and forward with the socket in there (2 man job) works well, and it didnt crack any paint

hold up.. I'll finish this brew and go jack her up.. needless to say there's no scrubbing.. even with people in the back!

Looks good bud! How much did they roll them out by then?
Interested to know more about these solid engine mounts you've made. From what? Are hockey pucks actually just that? and does it just space the engine up a bit?

its on coilovers so theres still plenty of suspention travel, (proper coilovers not Jom ones that use the std assembly up front, could go lower if i really wanted to.... quite comfortablybss325i wrote:90mm?! I think the only way you could go lower than 'rolling your arches with a 1/2 inch socket set' is by cutting the coonts off and gaffer taping some cardboard wideboy arches back on
Whens the flamer kit being fitted?

No flamer kit, body STD apart from the rolled arches. Stance ftw thoUgh! And dezzy it is comfortable, obviously not as comfortable than STD non lowered suspension but it's better than shocks and springs lowering... (much smoother) and adjustable stifness etcetc it's a winner

that's possibly an offset issue.. I'm running them with 215/40 16's on an ET15 and I've had no problems that an arch roll didn't cure.. I reckon it's given me another 5mm and removed the lip at the ends of the factory roll.. they did a good job, re-sealing the roll and it looks factory! I've had a busy couple of days or I'd have bunged more pics up.. as soon as I get the chance I'll jack the car up and do it..
as for the workmanship, I went a bit maverick and had no probs at all.. that's not to say other people haven't had bad experiences..

By adjusting I mean rolling, then a few adjustment taps with a hammer. I'm running the same offset (15mm) with 205/40 on the front and 215/40 on the rear. 70mm front drop and 50mm rear drop on springs and I've already worn through one sump. Engine raise is next...
