Tell me about it but I think its a little bit over priced considered the second one has less miles and a hardtop what do you think Cee?

Well, they all have low mileage (considering age) and all look tidy.

Looks wise I'd definitely go for the first one but the lower price and hardtop on the second are definitely a bonus.

Depends if you value the looks of the first versus the saving of the second two.

Then again, as with all cars, you can only really tell if they're worth it from looking at them in the flesh.

I can't comment on price really as I've never looked into cabs or 325i's at all

No 2 is the pic of that bunch by far. Re the black car, the cardinal red trim is the less desireable of the two red interiors most commonly found in E30s and is incorrect for a '91. This particular car was in fact delivered with anthracite cloth and no body kit . Its a 6k car tops if it is REALLY nice, most of them are not ! . :(

Im sure the 3rd one maybe sold , Im sure a previous owner was on about buying it back
If you view soverign tradings website there is another e30 cabriolet on there with 32k on the clock , Its a time warp car and immaculate , Has to be seen tbh
Friend of mine bought it and is the 2nd owner , He cant justify it sitting , Think he has driven through the summer maybe a handful of times
If its of interest drop me a pm as ill be able to do a deal with gary the owner

Edit .... Just found it via the pistonheads link

Thanks for that pacerpete nice to know the body kit is also not original me thinks the current owner doesnt know that as he informed me that the only thing that was not original as far as he knew was the interior which he had installed from he old E30.

I used to own a 325i motorsport but it was by no means in the condition of these three so now Im taking my time carefully to find the one I want without having to do any work to it.

A vital check to make before viewing any convertible is a vehicle specification check, your local BMW dealer will do this for free over the phone or give you a print out if you attend in person . This will tell you the exact spec of the car when new.

My inner paedo was curious about the cardinal trim in the black car , hence a quick phone call which revealed that the car originally had cloth and no kit.

Convertibles more than any other model are often very different in 2011 than when new. Different wheels etc are hardly a deal breaker but colour changes (often a clue to some distant wrongness) and being registered as a 316 4 door are a different matter !

Steve E30 -> Mate is a nice looking car but I want a one with the tech 2 kit, not a fan of that type of steering wheel, its a cloth interior and I want one with an electric hood and manual so all in all it is a good looking motor but its not my ideal one if your with me.

Pacer -> Yeah have to agree with all your points hence why I posted about it on here knowing what you guys are like ;-)

I think I'll be cheaky and offer the first guy a silly figure knowing its not as standard as he may think irrespective of the mileage and condition.

No worries fella , Its genuine and totally unmolested
Tbh its to good to be a "everyday" car in my eyes
The only thing i would change on it would also be the steering wheel , It was commented on when i first saw the car but he refused to change anything on it
I also prefer themm with tech 2 kits but am now swaying towards tech 1s or un-kitted , That first one with the cardinal leather looks nice as well

The black car was also subject to water damage some time back. Documented in the article IIRC.

Thing is, if you pay the money up front, you will save in the long run. Go and buy a car that is not as nice for half the price and you'll spend 3 times the saving on putting it right!

I bought a fairly nice convertible 7 years ago. And to get it where it is today owes me a smidgen under £9k. Hindsight tells me I should have outlayed the additional and bought a mint motorsport from the off!

B7 where is the article fella you able to lay your hands on it?

Im with you on the comments regarding buying a minter from the off, I bought a motorsport spent a fair bit on it and sold it for less than what I'd originally paid for it and it wasnt no where near the standard I wanted it to be so ive had my toes bitten so to speak ;-)
