the two coolant temp sensors on the thermostat housing? front top of the lump.. brown is for the guage and blue is for the ecu for cold starting (or unplugged and shorted with a 200R resistor if you're a pikey like me and your sensor is up the creek!) 8)

I'm going to get one tomorrow.. I thought I'd short it out today and see if it makes a difference and it does :) I'm not leaving it like that! and they are only a tenner from GSF off the shelf..

if i unclipped mine and bridged the two small connectors with a paperclip or something would this fool the car into thinking the circuit was still live, as a test to see if the car idles better after first starting it, before buying a new one and finding out that it might not be the problem in th first place!
(never see the sense in buying random parts if i dont know exactly what the cause is)

go and buy a 200 ohm resistor from maplins! or pm me your addy and i'll send you a couple in the post... I've replaced mine now.. it's much much better! :)
