E325KUL Where are you now???
Moderator: martauto
Hi.
Just wondering if anyone on here owns, or knows where E325KUL is now.
There may or may not be a thread on here somwhere about the car.
It was a Black Sport.
If the owner is on here, and knows the history, then you'll probably know why I'm asking, if you don't know the history, then I may have a nice suprise for you.
I do know the car still exists!

I knew it was still around in 2010, I would love to know what became of it.Jhonno wrote:Has been out of tax since Jan 2010..
I'd say it was dead..
I may even buy it, if its dumped somewhere.................
Some of you on here may remember a late 1980's pop star called Rick Astley.ucpsale wrote:Maybe it is time to reveal the suprise to get more interest?
Well in 1987, Rick had just reached No1 in the charts with his song "Never Gonna Give You Up" and as a reward for his hard work Pete Waterman told him he could choose a car as a treat.
Rick being Rick, a down to earth bloke, he chose a BMW 325i Sport, instead of a Ferrari etc etc! So they promptly ordered one.
When it arrived it was registered E325 KUL.
At the time Rick, was a friend, and I used to work for his Dad, and I remember the car well. A year or so ago, I did the DVLA search, and it was still on the road in 2010. So I hoped one day, I may see it again, even buy it maybe!
So there you go, the suprise is out, and no doubt, value added to the car if I wanna try and buy it.
Some people probably won't be bothered by this as he was only a cheesy 80's popstar, but that car was special to him, and to me too, I loved it!
And I'd love to own it now, and bring it back to Newton-Le-Willows
If anyone knows what became of it in January 2010, even if you broke it up, please let me know.
Cheers.
I never thought of that........kieran325 wrote:Nice tale![]()
Next time I see Pete Waterman, I'l ask him.
I see Pete Waterman myself at railway events fairly regularly, and although he parted company with Rick after a short time he may know.
In fact, he's into cars himself, he may have it!!!!!
I haven't seen Rick around town for at least 10 years now, so can't ask him.

I too work on the railway for my sins.kieran325 wrote:I don't think Pete will know where the car is![]()
I work on the railway and I see Pete lurking about alot.
First time I met Pete was a cab ride in a 390.
It may be an avenue to follow, as I'd love to know what happened to it, since my interest in E30s has been re-kindled.
Cheers.
