E30 325i Touring
Moderator: martauto
Hi
I am in the market for a 325i touring. Can anyone tell me if these were made up until 1993/94 L reg. I have come across 316's and 318's on the reg but not 325i. Were the 325i's available on a L plate. If not on what reg did these become obsolete?

There are few K reg ones around. never heard of an L plate.
I think the key is to buy the best one you can find irrespective of age.
Ive seen real dog J reg's and mint mint E/F reg cars.
Spend your money on finding one with a good high spec or even an Alpina C2 2.7.
There is an Alpina C2 2.5 for sale @ WLN. Very very nice car!

What is the right money to spend on a 325i touring? I want to go for a later one as I understand that the 1990's E30's are usually safer from becomming rusty. I am also looking for one that has low milage, so far I have had no luck.
All Tourings are the same, they dont generally rust if taken care of.
As I said, dont worry too much about age on these.
Price? Thats a difficult one really. For a really high spec one with leather recaro seats, LSD, OBC, RHR etc etc expect to pay around Ԛ£2000+.
Ones with the Mtec 2 body kit look amazing and are worth hunting down.
There was one on ebay in the last few days @ Ԛ£1800 with the Mtec2 kit.
If I were to buy a Touring it would have the kit on.

Here's a low mileage one for you but not really high spec:

Headlining is well detached, but this is mentioned in the description. Not to difficult to sort on a touring though.
Thought they all had 3 spoke steering wheels as well.
Allready 1500 with over three days to go I think it will go for 2500+
Its all in the miles, there are not many round that low.

Don't understand the obsession some car buyers have with milage. It's condition that's much more important.doug325i wrote:Allready 1500 with over three days to go I think it will go for 2500+

I bought an immaculate 318 touring on 135k back in the summer for a fraction of what this ones going to make.Totaly unmolested, not a trace of rus including sunroof and tailgatet, golf club score cards in the door pocket, British Legion sticker on the window, rear seats looking like they've never been sat in, don't think they had found the load cover, and front seats showing no wear at all.
Best to buy a car like this and then "merge" it with a high spec 325i rust bucket.

That's what I intend to do. My touring is rust free and really clean, but I'm desperate for a red one and I've collected loads of equpment ready to go on. Problem is, when I'm bored I end up sticking it on my current car!!!
I think the chances of finding a red 325i touring with A/C is very slim.

I have dec 92 touring with 65K on the clock, leather m-tec interior and working air con in diamond black, i'd say there are a few too many marks in the paint than i would have liked and it cost me Ԛ£3500 on e-bay which is probably too much but i was desperate for a car!
The main disadvantage of having a 93 car is that you can't take the cat off so I assume you lose a bit of poke.
