I got a Bosal exhaust which came with the vehicle. It is blowing slightly and not mounted the best but sounds AWESOME especially in tunnels, narrow streets, next to cars on your right for some reason as it reverbs off them.

ohhh them last two systems look amazing! surely having the pipe crimped cant be good for airflow lol.
im just wondering with the twin pipe idea is this because they need alot of back pressure?
the above e30 looks amazing full stop

Not got a pic at the mo, my 316i has a manifold back stainless system from longlife, de-cat, centre box is still there but just an empty resonator box and a 3-3.5" inward rolled pipe. Will try and get a pic up asap.

I have a peko backbox which is so delightfully chavtastic that my MOT tester has given me an advisory for a blowing exhaust 3 years running just to cover his arse.

I've got a Powerflow system...custom built by TopGear in Aylesbury...

My old 325 had a Magnex SS system, but the centre box was a poor design and was eventually replaced (after several failed repair attempts) with a OE mild steel one...

Powerflow do make 'twin out' rear silencers definitely tidier IHO, I picke my parts and got them to put it together for me.kieran325 wrote:I thought thatSimon wrote:Julz, did you ask them to make the system like that?

My centre is 170 oval by 500mm 2 & 1/4" single in and
my rear silencer is the 170 oval 390mm long (not advertised in this exact length anymore), 2 & 1/4" in and twin 1 & 3/4" out.

Not on a 6 pot but my down swept tip on my home made system, i just bought the box with no tips on from a local custom exhaust place and made the rest from the manifold back.
Also sprayed the back of the back box with black VHT paint so its doesn't stick pout like a soar thumb

Well:Simon wrote:Julz, did you ask them to make the system like that?
I think it looks awful.
I asked for a system to a) be under 95dba @ 1m 45deg to comply with most trackday noise tests b) to retain the x-pipe and c) not be too boomy
The twin outlet box they originally tried was too loud and a bit too boomy...hence the use of the 2 single boxes...
From the rear it looks standard (ish) and is well made and fulfills all the other requirements...
