my car is going in for paint next week and i cant decide if i should have body colour all the way or to keep the black lower line around the sills. its a brillant red facelift cab with an is front lip in black at the moment and i am leaning towards keeping it that way i kinda like the original look what do you chaps think?

I just recently had my back valance and sills painted white to match the car and it looks great imo :)

They were black and the back valance was half white and bottom half black. Not anymore winkeye 8)

I personally like the black undersides on standard cars.

With an iS lip, as I said, more or less, in the Tedswagon thread, you'll have a black base for the red to sit on, and it'll look great. Colour-coding works too but I think it's best left for cars with plastic bodykits on.

Cheers dez, yer it was harsh at first but relieved that it could be fixed with a few panels and paint ect! Around £300 out of pocket but aiming to claim that back with invoices ect.
I will get some pics up as soon as.

mate, im no expert- but before that, you should give the car a good wash, and then clay bar it and get all the stuff out of the paint and get the paint clean, and after the g3- use the farclia (same brand as g3) paint renovator, then autoglym super resin polish, then wax it

a bit of a ball ache, but gives brilliant results, check the care and detailing section for pics of my car after i had done that last week, the clarity and shine of the paint is super, the clay bar imo is a vital step ,you can feel and see the stuff it picks up and takes out of the paint, also when sanding it and g3 ing it, your going to rub in all of that stuff !! its well worth doing the whole lot and your call will look and shine that little bit more and look really clean new paint
