Blatent disrespet and a complete lack of understanding as to what it entails to be a qualified ENGINEER is the issue here. This country became great because of enginneers and the rigorous and continuing training and testing of those that hold this hallowed title. ANY that dismiss this are those that have helped give all our trades a bad name, a complete lack of trust and demise of our nation
Inhouse qualifications only teach what is needed to do a job. City and guilds, B-tech etc go way beyond.
And as for an accusation implying that an engineer has invented something for his own personal gain is libelous. I would take it as such and sue you barry, so be gratefull that Mr Moore is a bigger man than both of us. Once you can honestly place letters after your name you will be in a position to examine the facts and see the full picture

Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level then, beat you with experience.

And I've run out of popcorn!.....
Hang on it's friday - I'll have beer instead.
Just to confirm I have nothing constructive to add to this thread, but it's been part of my life for several days now and I'm finding it hard to let go...

Glad i went to bed when i was ahead.
Must of hit a nerve, some of you mods are a bloody joke. No names obviously, I mean a an OAP taking offense to a short joke.
If i took offense to everything someone said to me on an internet forum as a NON Mod well.....i'd of hung myself a long time ago. Simon13 RIP and all that sh!t. Having the powers of delete and edit must be a truly epic privilege only the people of the clearest of minds can have. Get a grip guys get some perspective!
I'll get my pillow ready for the klink and the tarnished image of "imprisonments 1" tag then after this rather harsh outburst. Or maybe it will be longer!

Brake pad warning lights are bollocks anyway. None of my shitters have them. Like replacing tyres at 3mm as opposed to the laughable 1.6mm, you check the pads every now and then, and replace them when they start to get low. By the time the light comes on, they're just about shagged anyway.
