Finally got to Essex today to see the BMW 320i convertible I've been after.
Poor thing needs my help.
Covered in grime, moss, dirt etc I was almost ready to drive past as I saw it on the drive.
However,on closer inspection it's not bad at all, very solid ,no rust to speak of apart from the odd cosmetic bubble.
Poor paint and a half finished filler job on the rear wing make it look worse than it is.
It drives beautifully, was stone cold when I got there yet fired up first time, stops well and changes through the gears (autobox) as it should,it even has 10 months MOT left and only had an advisory on the drivers seat being insecure.
The hood is good and water tight ,the rear window is unripped and will once again become transparent with a polish, the interior was full of shite but the dark blue leather looks as though it will come up alright with a good clean/feed/colouring treatment.
All 4 alloys need refurbishing and have mostly lost all their centre caps and badges.

The worst thing I can see in these pictures is not the grime, or the missing centre caps, but the pink KA in the background! lol. Good luck with the project, sounds like you got quite a bargain there!

Absolute bargain for £300 esp considering the 10 months MOT.
