Evening

I want to know how to tell if my mats are OEM or not.

What do I need to look for?

I know, hence why I posted Motormec.

The world and his wife seem to know OEM mats are NLA.

I've got genuine mats in the M3 and the touring, not much difference to be honest.

The oem mats have a plastic heel "mat" bit on the drivers side :)

Original mats have a double layer of material where your heels rest, not plastic though. Also the passenger mat doesn't have any fixing points. Luckily they are still available for lhd cars.

Ok thanks, got mats in mine which I wasn't sure of. Don't think they are OEM though which is a shame, everything else is orginal.

Am getting myself some new floor mats for my BMW E30 325i Sport.

The ones i saw on a US website are for LHD only. After i enquired they changed their website stating they were for LHD. It was Turner Motorsport I think.

Are the floor mats from Motormec the same manufacturer as the Genuine BMW OEM floor mats when they were available NEW?
Do the floor mats from Motormec are there ready-made wholes in the car to screw them into?

A nice touch would be some embroidery e.g. 325i instead of M3.

You have to screw your own holes when you line the mats up, took me 5 mins.

There was a grey plastic panel sewn onto the carpet in the heel area but the stiching came undone and once it was loose I binned it.

Now I wish I'd kept it and had it sewn back on.
