hi all, i've been looking into ECU chips for my e30 318is, having a bit of trouble, not finding a lot of info on them and finding a limited amount of them.

Whats the general consensus on these and has anyone got one or had one? any advice/experience with these.

thanks

Ive got one in my 325i. Its a "mild" from speedtouch, he's the chap you need to look for.

Noticable difference in acceleration at the top end of the gears. Gets to about 4k and starts to fly :D

Also get an extra few miles a tank. Not many but its an added bonus.

You definitely need to have one.

Try A Tech for an upgraded chip (fastbimmer.co.uk) or speak to Paul at Circuit Motors, Castle Coombe about a remap. He got 147bhp out of mine.

With the remap the car feels a little smoother at part throttle and obviously you have more power at full throttle. The rev limit is also higher.

A-Tech are seemingly USELESS at email contact etc... anyone else having or had this problem or just me?

Car made 123.2hp and 115lb ft of torque, not too bad for a 150k mile 20year old car? hopefully can improve on this though!

Andrew, it's a one-man operation as I understand it and Ant is always busy, and is busy for a reason: he does top work. If you hang in there I'm sure you'll get an answer.
