well this one will handle worse if it's lower :)

Should not have any rubbing problems if using 205/40/17 tyres

mines lowered 60mm on the same wheels as you (gloss black) winkeye , 205/40/17, does not rub when driving but the occasional little rub on full lock, this has only happened like 2 times and is only the arch plastic, i just stay away from 'literal full lock' when turning. she handles brill, front feels nice and sharp and looks the nuts

its the law if your fitting Alpina reps 60mm drop and use a pair of molegrips to roll your arches :)

i had 205/40/17's on my is, lowered more than 60, et 35 offset, there was no rub front or rear, you should be fine,

im now on 225/50/15 on the rear (et 25) and 205/50/15 on the front, no scubbing either, delighted, it looks so low and fat!

i rolled my arches before the respray too, but i ran the 17's long before that and it didnt cause me any trouble.

No issues here, 205/40/17 tyres all round. Handling is great especially after refreshing all the rubber bushes on the car too.

I have a 60mm drop on alpina rep alloys covered in 215/40 17 dunlop rubber... It has never rubbed on the arch or anywer else.. Might get a slight exhaust scrape if theres a fatty in the car but otherwise never...

rolling arches with molegrips??? 8O lmao, not even a slightly good idea. it will crack the paint around the inner edge and then rust mate. like i say im dropped 60mm with no need to break out the molegrips haha

i used a panel beating hammer and a block - thats how it used to get done back in the day.... but you MUST must must protect the paint if any gets cracked, chipped etc, paint then pack with sealer/waxoil/schutz etc..

aye you can get white, gray or black - im not sure waht other colours are available but those are the three that i have used in the past. also you can get shultz with waxoil added too - its supposed to be the dog's never dries out/hardens etc so you allways have a protective layer

you should be able to get it from your local trade/motor factor or if you have a local body shop they would be able to order it in for you i would imagine
