your better off using claybar, then polish
tcut is quite abrasive and if used frequently it can rub through the paintwork to the primer, there is a little spot in the middle of my cabs bootlid like that

If the paint is really flat, a good machine polish with a cutting compound, then some fine polish, followed by a good wax is the best way to go.
it still shines ok but with winter coming i just want to keep the paintwork really protected..and remove swirl marks ..and kinda just keep it clean as i can through the crap weather..i have an insulated car cover to use through the winter that i bought for my old e30 but never used it..i just want to kinda restore the paintwork back to how it was when it left the showroom
carlack 68.
its a chemical cleaner as well as a sealant and 1 layer should see at least 3 months.
i would do 1 layer one week then follow with another layer a week later to make sure all bits covered then use a decent shampoo to keep it clean.
