If its as tidy as it looks it would seem a shame to mess with it. Im usually quite bad for changing things and swaping parts. But that looks much too nice to molest IMO.

Nice find and congrats, Welcome to the zone

Yeh it really is immaculate, went to show it to my dad today he's got e24's and he said the same thing, he said its to nice to mess with, and he's right really, think i'll leave it for now

the stereo amazed me, its a blankput (or however you spell it) with a seperate graphic equalizer next to it and a BMW fitted amp in the boot, its so spec'd up its got everything

@ magpie - yes it is an SE

... but having seen how original it is i dont know if i want to now... some old lady had it for 14 years its got all the original books radio, tool kit, first aid kit everything, and the interior is immaculate, dont know if i want to mess about with it now...?
keep it like that mate standard, looks like a real nice example and would be a shame to mess with it with a bodykit etc

good feeling ay ? im nearing a year in to e30 ownership and loved the day i got mine, and still love it now !

I'd keep it how it is, it'll hold its value better, and it's so rare to come across such a looked after and unmolested example

totally agree. spend your money on bringing it up to A1 as new condition and you will get your money back when the time comes to sell. with modding you will never get your money back and even de value the car. looks like you don't need to spend much!

Do you think the milage will affect it re-sale, i didnt really buy it to sell on i want to keep it long term but its got 130k on it now will that matter when the time comes even if it is immaculate?

it is very clean, theres a few little blisters on the one arch and a mark on the rear corner but once i get paid im going to get them done properly straight away! but thats about it, i always said i wanted a tech 2 kit but ive been totally won over by it, i love how original it is!! :) :)

looks great, just like mine! only had mine 3 weeks, it's a 1988 E 325i 2 door in dolphin grey. Restoring it so doesn't look as nice as yours at the moment!

If you keep the car original and mint and historied with receipts, then the mileage becomes less of an issue IMO.
Saw this one earlier http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C176381/
- My personal opinion is that the wheels, angel eyes etc are too OTT and spoil what look to be a nice motor and put me off it. Definitely would not expect to pay extra for it.

Yeh thats not my cup of tea at all... looks to chav'y

i was thinking of fitting the tech 2 kit and leather, but make it look like a clean STANDARD sport, keep the bbs wheels and standard exhast etc. i dunno.... if i kept all the bits if that time ever came theres nothing stopping me putting the interior and bumpers back on.
