Hi,
Just finished fitting new valve cover gasket and intake manifold gaskets, as well as a few other jobs! on my 325i

Thought I'd labelled where everthing goes but there's two pipes to the throttle body, same size pipes, one above the other, can't remember which one goes where. Is the pipe from the thermostat housing the top or bottom pipe??

Even better, replace both pipes with a single length from thermostat to the rear of the block, last thing you need is hot water around the t/b!

does doing that not have any wrong effect on anything?
you would you need to remove the housing ?
and would the mot guys not wander why there are no pipes attached?

The MOT test is not that extensive so your wont fail or even get a advisory for it.

+1, i just recently did a 325 conversion on my 320i and used a little bit of plastic tube and 2 jubilee clips to bypass the throttle body water supply. nothing wrong with this at all. perked up the response a bit in my opinion!! on the throttle body i used 2 rubber bungs held on with jubilee clips. although water cooled, you feel your water pipes! not exactly coool ay?.... engines perform best when inhaling colder air! a free mod worth doing mate. :)
