A hand gun under the passenger seat of a car that came to a place I used to work at. The old bill were waiting for him as he drove away from our dealership, but as far as I know, no-one in the entire building called the police.... Dodgy!!

Got stopped by ze Polizi in the late 70s with my mates in a borrowed car at silly o'clock in the morning driving back from Hastings to Bromley to be quizzed about four stolen wheels.

Check the boot out and.......... four wheels and tyres. Not the RS Turbo alloys they were loking for but off an Austin Cambridge. Still cost us a trip to Battle nick for an interrogation!

Ha ha, had a similar find tucked under the carpet near the shifter in my first car (KE26 2TG Corolla Van, mmm axle hop).
The previous owner must have remembered as he called me back the next day to say he "thought he had left something in the car"...he came round but when he couldn't find it (gone up in smoke the previous night as celebration of the new wheels),
he walked away saying he must have been mistaken...
