was curious has anyone managed to fit a set of electric e46 cab seats into an e30, if so can poeple post some pics of the finished article and what there opinions on the whole thing are.

Its been done but looks shit in my opinion. To new for an E30.

i understand most people on here are purists and like to keep there cars as close to stock as possible, well from what ive been reading anyway. was just curious as to what they looked like and how hard it was to fit them

They are much bigger than an E30 seat, so they look crap , they are a ballache to fit and they are very heavy .

wow very strong opinions, nice to know though. ok heres a question and forgive me if i sound like a complete numpty, but apart from the sport seats that you can get in a cabby, what other seats would go in, or what other seats did bmw make that would go in to one.

the reason i ask is because i wanted something a bit different as thats how i like to mod my cars but not make them look cheap and tack though. so if anyone has any suggestions, like Dr frasier Crane would say "i'm listening" or reading for that matter.

Not a fan of the e46 convertible seats, wouldnt e46 m3 seats be a better option if you didnt want the e30 seats?

not everybody has the money to roll like me, you and barry. Some people dislike e30 seats and feel the need to fit crap

Try find some blitz.

Not only that, they reay only suit earlier 70's stuff like E21/E3/E9/E12 etc not an 80's E30/E28/E24.

This is the ultimate E30 seat. Recaro Classic C. Commonly fitted to AMG Mercs, and Alpina's.

I think they have adjustable bolsters, lumber everything.
