Hmmm..

What do you think of this?

I won this item during the week :

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWNX:IT

Contacted the seller, asking when I can pick up etc straight away, and continued asking until today.

Seller has told me he was contacted by phone straight away "buyer" ( phone number was in the ad), caller said he had won the seats and could he come and collect straight away, saying it was me. He did, seller said he had a Toyota HiAce, and bought some wheels at the same time, and that he was of Indian or similar origin.

Seller did not contact me at all, said he hasn't looked at Ebay or Email for days, left no feedback etc.

On the face of it, its a cheeky new Ebay stunt, but I'm really dissapointed not to get interior. Who has it? That torn door card will be a problem, maybe we'll catch up one day!

This is either of 2 ways. Either the w4nker was expecting more and has made the story up or, some scrote has jumped in and taken the p1ss.

the learning. Sellers NEVER put your mobile on ebay and always state "contact by the buyer should be via eBay prior to collection".

Buyers state to the sellers on winning the auction, "I will be in a blue XXX XXXX and this is my mobile number". Then ask the seller to confirm who you are on collection by ringing your phone. If he rings the number and the guy standing there's phone don't ring then he knows he has a p1ss taker
B7's Motto. "If it's French, BURN IT!!!!!!"

No didn't pay, it was to be cash on collection.

I was on the road in Germany at the time it ended, so was a few hours after the auction before I could send the message asking when I could pick up.

I thought I'd seen all the tricks on Ebay, but this is a new one. Its clever and sneaky!.

Missus thinks seller has just decided that the price achieved wasn't enuf, and has just decided to keep it, as I didn't get any contact for days, and no feedback. Who knows, but what a dissapointment.

Hunt continues as Phatz would say!

If the seller kept them thinking he can get more money for them he'll have to find somewhere else to sell them

I dont think its a case of that he is hanging onto the interior because it didnt acheive what he wanted for it.... If he was that way inclined, he would have quite simply got someone to shill bid untill he got what he wanted....(Still quite common this trick).

Its more probable that someone who just lost out on them in the auction and has probably been after a set as long as our guy, rang afterwards & offered a few more pennies for them, & the seller succumbed to the power of money... And as payment had not been made by Z3I, this may have eased the sellers conscience....

Either way it stinks.....

I think your winning bid was strong and some cheeky fooker has offered more after the auction. You have to cut things like this loose or it'll bend your melon.

I can leave this behind me, no worries, I'm lucky in so many other areas.
No matter whats gone on there, and who knows, whatever you dish out in life, it will always come back to bite you later on..

If the seller (or the person who collected) knows so much about the red E30 leather I bet they are on this forum.

z3i - unlucky. Seriously though, rather than take a £500 gamble on an original set of oxbloods. buy a £250 set of immaculate leather sports, and spend £120 on the furniture clinic leather colours, and come and see me. Ive got all the kit to recolour them with/for you, and itll save you a fortune and be better that some scabby cut up, ripped set of seats!

Gimme a PM if ya want to discuss :)

Well, I guess I'll never know what happened there, but I reckon it will, or evidence of it, will emerge one day. That torn doorcard is a problem, and Ive got a spare! Need that backseat, and rear door cards..

Won't worry me though, win lots, lose some I say!
