Well I went to ecp yesterday to get the parts to service my E30. They put most of the parts in a bag for me but I didn't check then and there what they had given me, baring in mind the nature of this thread it was fooking stupid of me but I had the Mrs picking my head about wanting to go to BQ to choose tiles for the kitchen or some crap.
Got home drained the oil out of the Diff and realized they had given me power steering fluid not gear box oil. Car is now in the air with the old oil in a dirty container and obviously is not going any where and they are now closed.
Que very angry drive to Halfrauds in by daily at warp speed.
As per Brian's post when I was in there they was a guy complaining about the miss matched clear indicators he had bought for his e36 possibly a bit of a problem there.

I went to the Catford (SE London) branch last week
Full of a bunch of 'innit' boys - apparently their new parts system was "gay" according to one of the chaps behind the desk and the opinion of the new manager was "bo11ocks" according to his colleague - right in front of 5-6 customers.
I requested my parts (thermo and air filter) from the apparent new guy on the team - all i heard in lowered voices from his senior colleague was "give him that one" and "say we only have that one". You can't see the screen they're looking at, so you're kinda over a barrel.
Until you pull out your iPhone and suggest alternatives are actually in stock.... I walked out and won't be going back in a hurry....

I've been saying this for years. ECP are the most useless bunch of w4nkers in the businees of supplying parts. I only ever buy brake pads from them and then only OEM Pagids.
Over the years thet have:
Supplied completly the wrong rear suspension struts for my old ECP
Supplied really poor quality trim (bumper and joint covers) for the convertible.
Supplied the incorrect thermostat for an m535i e28
Supplied two drop links for the e30 that perished and died in 18 months and less than 3k miles.
Supplied the incorrect valve stem oil seals for 2 m20 heads after I specicfically specified febi versions.
That last order was after 2 years of refusing to entertain them and yet again, against my better judgment, they exceeled themselves again.
I was banned from their forum for slagging them off publically over the e34 suspension. They would would not refund despite promising time and time again. So I logged in and called them all the c*mnts under the sun!
