my local garages like taking the pee pee so i'm gonna spend my money elsewhere.

so i'm looking for tyres that have the best of both worlds. long life, good in the wet, grippy and not 200 each. i'm just after the rears for now (bloody camber winkeye )

also i'm looking to buy them online, anyone know any good websites?

and there for 15" bbs's...oh and another question whats the best size in your opinion.

sorry about the fifty questions but one thing ive never really looked into is tyres!

any help is much apreciated THANKS! :P

205/55 Toyo's from Blackcircles.
You pay on-line,then take your car(or just the wheels)to your selected tyre shop on the agreed day and they get fitted and balanced.
Last pair I bought were about £135.

Sounds like you've already made your mind up but Vredestein Sportrac 3s are an excellent tyre for an E30. Cheaper than Toyos as well when I had my last set fitted.

Vredesteins are amazing drift tyres, I overheated the hell out of them and whilst there were bits of rubber coming off so you could see the canvas underneath they just wouldn't delaminate, and they lasted longer than any other tyre I had on that day.

Unfortunately I've no idea what the grip is like because I don't drive like that. :)

Correct me if i'm wrong but i've always been under the impression that road tyres that last long have shit grip and tyres with good grip wear out faster.

So if what your saying is correct the Vredestrins a probably a bit shit as far as grip goes but are a very good tyre for very calm eveyday drivng and for someone that whats max miles our of there rubber??

I fitted Vredesteins to a Renault Kangoo that I was running for freelance courier work a few years back.I drove the thing 60k miles in 10 months(thats no typo!) The first Vredestein that I fitted was almost unworn after 20k miles,so they last!

Important to note that Blackcircles price includes fitting at a tyre centre near to you, when I checked Camskill, yes, cheaper, but no fitting.I expect that fitting and balance would cost at least £10 per wheel,so there may be a small saving.
I asked over the phone before ordering from Blackcircles what their fitting place would charge for a pair of Toyos supplied and fitted....'we do not stock Toyo's,only Maxim in that size'....

Whilst my Toyo's were being fitted,I asked the dude on the counter for a comparitive price, and he commented that they could not match Blackcircles, and most days fitted at least 8 orders for them.

Just my experience of the service!

If I lived closer to 'Dezzy' I would be buying tyres from him!

vredsteinn sportrac 3's are better than toyos just swapped from toyos to the sportracs on my e30 and they are superior bridgestones and michelin pilots better still.
