right im fixing up a few e30's for a racing school & have a couple of questions as fairly new to bm's

best way to replace clutch: whole engine out or left in situ & box removed

is the clutchplate the same in a 320i? as i have one laying around!

Taking the box off on the floor aint that bad a job to do really taking the whole engine out to replace the clutch will just cost you more money.

Yes the 320i clutch is the same

cool cheers! im used to nissans & taking the whole engine & box out is way easier than the 2x gearbox bolts that are a nightmare to get to!
