Ah another one that has seen the light. He and you I suspect will love it
As Gary said you'll love it. They are very addictive though and it will never be as you want it.
I was only having a conversation with e30topless the other day saying where do you draw the line?
It's worth paying a bit more and making sure you get the best one you can within your budget - as Pete would say don't be a victim of one of the polished turds. I'm not sure what sellers are like but I'd be everywhere. Either on a ramp or jacked up, check everywhere, under carpets, boot floor, strut tops, jacking points - push your luck and see if you can take the skirts off??
If the owner knows their car like most of us know ours there shouldn't be a problem you've just got to take care when looking and touching someones car.

My bro buys all his super-clean collector's stuff in Germany and Italy for more or less the same reason - lot less hassle than USA and easy enough to jump on a flight over a weekend or something. Eurozone too...;)roy46ss wrote:To right gary, lookin in the states first for rust reasons unless something suitable turns up here...
Don't go for a us one unless you can help it. They have an odd spec, side marker lights which spoil the bumpers and a normal overdrive gearbox and low ratio diff where the 'proper' European ones got a dogleg layout 1:1 5th and taller diff.
cheers,

And I'm sure all the US ones I've seen have been really weird with the colour combos. White exterior and beige leather, red exterior and like a maroon interior!! Thanks lads, only got lookin into the us spec ones today they seem to be a less focused version really well that just my angle on it, only thing is his mates over there reckon there really clean over there and with the language being the same it just seamed an easy option...
The budget seems to be around the 15k stg mark, so hopefully that will get something half desent???
