The positive thing is that in most cars, hitting 6 figures does affect your ability to re-sell it, or the price you'll get, on a 1985 E30, it's a badge of honour !

Is that it? Thats only four times round the planet.
i'm on about 190k and these clocks are 40,000 newer than the old ones.

Mine is just about to hit 110,000, trying to put off using it a little to stop it building up but I work like 16 miles from my house so adds up... But its nothing... I'll look after her and shes look after me with any luck...
Shame though Ollie, I bet it was a horrible feeling watching the 9's disapear FOREVER!!!

Well i think average mileage per year is around 12k and most E30's are over 20 years old now so work it out yourself.
Sure there are gonna be some knocking around that have hardly been used or sat for ages.
Its going on with loads of retro classics at the minute, just knocking 50k off a car like an E30 can add around £500 to its value on the right one not a bad little earner for half hours work

Mines got loads of history to back the mileage up, I am the third owner, and it was on 97 odd thousand until I passed my test in November.

I think the amount of owners is always a teller too... If its had under 5 owners in general, you would have less chance of it being mucked about with, but again, it depends on whos selling it and why... Mine has had 4 previous with all history etc so all good, I hope... lol

Mine was made in '88 and I'm the 2nd owner. Mother was the first and I've got every MOT certificate so there's no question about the mileage. I took it over at 63K back in 06 and within the next week or so it will hit 80K, which means an average of around 3,600 a year since it left the factory.

mines on 190k, but nothing is 100% original anymore.
all of these cars are at an age where mileage is irrelevant.
most have had at least a full sus rebuild. break overhaul multiple new engine bits and several hundred electrical accessories.

The 6 figure mark is never a happy moment, my Leon hit that figure last week, not even 5 years old yet

.
Still at least the E30 has only done 67k
