Where are you coming from ?
Falkirk.
If you're coming from the Kincardine Bridge, head for Inverkeithing, when you get through Rosyth, go straight through the roundabout with the motorway above it and take a left about 50-100 yards before the next roundabout, down the hill and you're there. I'll give you a call before Saturday to finalise arrangements.

UPDATE- spoke to U-Pull-it today and set my expectation that nothing will be broken off the engine for removal, it'll be properly removed. They confirmed that is their approach. I'm not convinced but it should give us a bargaining chip if they break anything.

Also, the area we're working in has a concrete base so we won't need boards for under stands/jacks.

Paul (Ricey46) is coming from 9-11am to lend a hand, then Jason will take over when he arrives.

I'll be travelling with Ronan so we'll meet Paul and Pete (EVIR) in the car park at U-pull-it at 8.45am.

Good luck with their engine removal techniques, think they used a fork lift and a stihl saw on Jakes purchase. A few things to lie down on would be helpful, like carpet or cardboard, because even with it being a concrete base, there still pools of water/oil.

Fellow fraggers..... Final arrangements:

I'm picking up the mobile engine crane tonight and don't expect any problems.

Ronan and I will travel together on Saturday, Peter will bring the van and Paul, Pete (EVIR) and Jason will make their own way. They won't let us in until 9am so we can gather in the car park beforehand (for those who can make it).

Between Ronan and I we've got two trolley jacks and four axle stands so that'll be enough. Please try and bring a box each for your smaller items. Peter has the bags for bolts/screws/clips covered also.

I think everyone has my phone number so give me a call if you have any probs.

Cash on the day please.

See you Saturday ! :D

Cool, Ive got straps for keeping stuff in the van safe as well, but if people have some please bring them.

I will be driving back safely but if it aint tied down well its gona roll, and I wont take full responsibility if something is broken unless it is down to my driving or carelessness.

I presume Paul will take the glass away with him anyway.

Fair point Peter, no probs.

I assumed we'd have to put the glass in the van - but let's see what Paul thinks. There's also the bonnet for Neil - have you got room in the lockup for it ?
