I can see how somebody would leave them on a minty low-milage original car but then again... why not put some minty 15" BBS on it and lie about the options list
The bottle top poll.

Cool on a car thats under restoration and paint as it means your nice wheels won't get scratched or any paint/overspray on them

Replaced, maybe. Upgraded, ?

Sorry mate, for some reason I thought it was Jaymos that was complaining...
So in that case
FAIL!!!
What are you replacing the 15"s with? they are one of the best looking on white E30s in my opinion.

I am fitting these ACT wheels.

I wanted 16" M3 bbs but they were far too much money. These I got for £160 including postage. They will be powdercoated in silver. They look like this with centercaps fitted.

Ahh, I like those wheels. Friend of mine has a set of 4x100 ones on his Sport and they look nice.
Didn't know you were after going 5 stud. You using E30 M3 or E36 bits or just Adapter spacers?

i'm affraid to say that i havent read all 21 pages..
imho, bottletops are perfectly acceptable on standard chromies, preferably with a massive drop, but on anything else they're pretty horrible.
however, i would rather run a car on bottletops than 14in bbs which are trying hard to look 'sporty' but look comically small , there is no reason for 14in bbs to exist as well as the 15in version which is about a million times better.
at least the bottletop is just a wheel, for people who don't want steelies and caps, but have no desire to make their car look sporty.
i have absolutely no idea why many seem to find their way onto vws, when vw did their own 14in bottletop which looks far nicer with it's covered wheel nuts and deeper dish

Part of the charm of bottle tops are the exposed wheel bolts and the pronounced BMW badge.harry_p wrote:i'm affraid to say that i havent read all 21 pages..

I did want to do a 5 stud conversion but these wheels are 5x112 so just having some 2 piece addaptors made. This way I can revert back to 4x100 as and when.Dave_M3 wrote:Ahh, I like those wheels. Friend of mine has a set of 4x100 ones on his Sport and they look nice.
