Hi all,
I have stripped all my interior out of my 325 including the carpet and i am using it as a track car...but i'm wondering if there is any kind of left foot rest plate that i could buy or is it a 'do it yourself' custom job??

Thanks in advance!! :D

I bought a ac foot rest and made 2 brackett's to fit it to the tunnel and floor in mine. Demon tweek's do one but it sit's way to close to the clutch pedal for my liking.

If you're using it as a track car... why the hell do you need a foot rest?

Why not?? :? ...I find them more comfortable just to rest your left foot when not changing gear...also the car will still be road legal.

It is best to rest your foot, as it is a bad habit to leave your foot on the clutch pedal when driving. And you can brace yourself in hard cornering with a good solid foot rest.

I know a guy that makes foot rests for e30s without carpets, but it is for the LHD cars. Give him an email and see if he could make something for you.

I completely disagree with that... sorry.

Having a decent seat and harness installed and you shouldn't need to 'brace yourself' at all.

I never condoned riding the clutch, ever... it's just there's no need to 'rest' your clutch foot while racing/track-daying... you need it quite often!

It's like having an arm-rest. You just don't do it.

If only you had been around 20 years ago to tell Ravaglia, Winkelhock, Cecotto, Soper etc etc that they didn't need a footrest in their car. Could have saved a few vital grams :(

Have you ever seen them use it...? :D

Granted... they may have sat in the pits or on the start line with their foot resting there I suppose... lol
