Original DME relay on an E30 is white. Modern replacements are a funny green colour.
Fuel pump relays were orange, replacements may be blue.

You can't even go by their relative positions to each other, either, as their bases are easily unclipped, and can be replaced in different places.

What do you mean by "blows the relay"? The relay is rated at four times the fuse and associated wiring.

well if i was to put a new relay on tonite it would be fine then after about a week it will start to play up like the fuel pump will stop sending fuel to engine every now and then
when it happens it's so random mainly on idle not under load when it goes to die ill throttle it to keep it running but it draws in air but no fuel so will cut out faster
and will start up again straight away im 90% sure its fuel pump related im wondering if it's the pump it's self or the extra load needed on boost is messing up the relay over time
