A Quick question

My 325es is an automatic, and it has a gear that is labeled 'S' - im guessing that stands for 'sport', but can anybody tell me what exactly it does in terms of the way the car drives? i know older SAABs also have a sport gear/button but i was never sure exactly what they did
I presume you mean the dial on the centre console, which give Sport (S), Economy (E) as well as manual options (1,2,3). In 'sport' (S) mode, the normal gear change occurs at higher revs theoretically giving better acceleration, hence the sport designation. (E) is for 'normal' driving and 1,2,3 enables you to make the shifts manually when difficult driving conditions require a lower or higher gear to be held.
