Welcome Neighbour !!!!!!!!

Have you managed to get the exhaust sorted ?

Regarding the pink paint, My first E30 was really bad, i gave it a good T-Cut, then used some Autogylm Paint restorer, then a good wax to get the shine back.

the chain on the m42b18 probably snapped.

Why is it such a travesty to replace the m42?
I was looking to buy this car before dangerous did.

It was going to be a track day car. The previous owner had fitted the early high comp M20B25 and fitted 325i front springs and shocks.....

That was my point. Years ago everyone raved on here about how good the 318iS handling was compared to a 325, so it would be a crime to change the engine for the extra power to mess up handling, exactly what a properly built 2.7 would do to your m3.

Chain snapping on the 318iS, lol I thought the idea of a belt on a 325 / cracked head would be more dodgy. Common fault would have been if anything the profile gasket on the 318iS....
