Hello peeps!

Have you seen the million mile mobil dev 325i?

I run fully synthetic oil in my turbo diesel french pile of sh!t and I know they say the M20 engine doesn't need it, but mine is definitely sluggish from cold for a couple of minutes and it'll be interesting to see how she does in the winter....

Should I clean the idle control valve or would easier starting result from a full synth oil change? I'm definitely a bit rev happy so wouldn't full synth aid wear as well?

Right now she's burning NO OIL :D -- so I aint bothered about weeping or burning extra oil.

Any thoughts?

Cheers!

:P

OMG 85mph, those CRAZZZZYY BASTARDS, Thats well extreme, they could have someones eye out!!!!!

FFS my micra can do that. Its not the equivelant of 66 years normal driving they are dirty lying bastards. im sure in 66 years I mght turn off the car and let it get cold once in a while, perhaps miss the odd service here or there, hammer the shit out of it, over rev etc etc etc.
What a load of wank. My wifes dildo would last a million miles of she never put it in/out

This has been posted here more than once before.
IIRC, most of the "million miles" were done on rollers.
This is why I no longer drive an E30......

not sure where your maths comes from??
My taxi would do that in under 7 years and that drives quite normaly, in my rep days it would have taken 25 years and now it would be nearer 100 years for my daily or 500 years for my sport! What's normal anyway?

My Peugeot taxi E7 is on the original headgasket and engine at 4 years old so over 600,000 miles but has had 2 new turbos, two clutches, and a new gear box serviced reguarly mot'd twice a year and on the road near enough 24/7 Not bad for a French turd!
325i Tech 1 Touring, breaking.

2.5 high comp. M20, 3.64 LSD, Fully undersealed, Spax springs & Bilstein shocks, s/s exhaust, Alpina rep wheels and more.

Nowt wrong with my maths, they said 66 years in the video. What i am saying is 66 years and 1 million miles are 2 very different things. I have customers who are taxi drivers with shared cars running 24 hours a day and they dont miss a beat (as is the nature of a diesel engine), this is not normal use though which is what the people at mobil are trying to sell it as.

the test is stupid... you could do that with regular oils in those testing conditions and with that many regular services on bloody rollers!

haha that car was in tbmw this month :) I think the mint red leather interior is marginally more impressive winkeye

... to cut a long story short I've orderd 6L mobil 1 0W - 40 (full synthetic) for a pre winter change. If I change it in 750 miles or so I'll have run semisyn for 6k since I bought it in June - can't understand why I'm doing such fncking high mileage!!!!!!!?

Price was £35 notes collected off fleabaz, s'all good :rasta:
