how can i turn of my check light on my sport

my speedo stopped working,found wire to be coroeded near the diff.now the check light isnt going of.how can i reset it and turn of the check light.i have already disconnected the ecu for 10 mins

Is it flashing? Are there any lights lit on the overhead check panel?

yes its flashing and no there isnt any lights light up,just the brake light when i first start it then it goes out when i hit the brakes

Thought the brake light one lit up till you touched the brake pedal so sounds normal to me .

that is normal it just wants you to touch the pedal to check.

i tried bridging pin 11 and 19 i think to change the service light and was hoping it would stop me check light flashing

Its working fine. You must oporate the brake so it can check the circut is working!

i no it does a brake light check when i start it but its the check light flashing all the time in my clocks
